Mit freundlichen Grüssen A. Weiss

    Sehr geehrter Herr Steffmann.

I’m curious where you got the woodblocks for this 19th century face! I also digitized it when in school in the late nineties, a very limited character set anyway. Sorry, my German is also very limited.

Hello Mr Steffman, I recently came across your lovely Augusta font and was wondering if it would be possible to purchase this font for commercial use? It would be on printed packaging.
Thank you very much for your time.

  7. Dianne Scotton sagt:

    Mr Steffman-
Is it possible to purchase a commercial license to use your fonts for a client that produces stencil products for home decor and crafting uses?
In particular, they like Cloister Black, Old London, and some of the other Old English/gothic style fonts.
Thank you so much for your consideration of this request!

I have the same question. Is it possible to purchase commercial use license for your fonts? Also, as it seems that a number of your fonts are free for commercial use without restriction, what is the best way to know the terms of any particular font? For example, http://steffmann.1001fonts.com/ lists „DS Holzschrift“ as free for commercial use, but the text file says „for private use only.“ So for the sake of clarity, is it free for commercial use or personal use only? Or perhaps, it is free for commercial use but not redistribution?

      Thanks for any explanation!

    Hello Mr Steffman,

I’m sorry to be another person to bother you with the same subject, I’m a freelance designer and I wonder if I can use your font Honey Script for a logo for a Book Club.

Since this project runs through Designcrowd, my logo might not even become the chosen one and the font might not be used, but maybe it could 😀 I don’t really know.

    Best Regards,
    Tiffany.

    Dear Sir,

I’m interested in utilizing some of your fonts for commercial use (i.e. making products to sell online or in local shops). Unfortunately, I don’t speak German so I’m afraid I’m a little lost in your website so if the information’s listed, my apologies for bothering you.
Do I need to name them individually for permission and exactly what product it’s used on or how? Do you make a list of what’s available free for commercial use versus „for private use“ only? As others have stated in the questions section, there’s a discrepancy on the „free font“ websites and I want to be sure. I, of course, want to give credit where credit is due and/or purchase rights where necessary. Please advise.
P.S. I looooove so many of your fonts!

    Mr. Steffman –
We are interested in using your Tribeca font (http://www.1001fonts.com/tribeca-font.html) for commercial use for one of our clients. Can you please tell me if this font is available for such use and what the cost might be for this usage? Also, I noticed that there is another copyright holder listed on this font on this page: http://www.1001fonts.com/tribeca-font.html, which states: Copyright (c) Typographer Mediengestaltung, 2001.Tribeca font © 1991 by David Rakowski. Was Mr. Rakowski the original creator of the font and you now own the copyright to it? We’re just trying to ensure we’re licensing the font correctly. Thanks in advance for your reply.

    Cordialement,

    Mr. Steffmann,

Good day and I hope that you are doing well. I am an artist/designer (by hobby) and used your Old London font in an illustration that I would like to later expand into a limited edition stationery set. Primarily, the font would be on the art print, sticker sheet and the box itself as a logo for the set. I am hoping to crowdfund this project in the near future.

I noticed on your page that you wrote:
For all these reasons I am giving out my fonts to everyone for free for commercial purposes without any restrictions and I hope you enjoy in these fonts as much as I and many other font-friends around the world do!

I wanted to ensure that this was not a translation issue on my end and that I actually have permission to use this font for a commercial project.

Thank you so much for your time, and I hope that you have a great week.

    Kind Regards,
    Rogeena Lynch
